For our division Unilin Flooring we are looking for a strategic and persistent Sales manager for the growth of our DIY market in Germany and Austria.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to grow the DIY segment.
  • Approach potential DIY customers and expand our customer base for our laminate and rigid flooring.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and needs to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, including pricing, payment terms, and rebate agreements.
  • Convert prospects into key accounts and nurture those accounts for long-term growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing and other internal teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Representation of Unilin Flooring  DIY at events and customer meetings.
  • Being a bridge builder between the different sales teams (direct, wholesale & DIY) 

 

Who are you?

 

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of proven experience in sales management, preferably in the flooring/construction related industry
  • Sales experience within DIY or wholesale is a must.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A long term thinker with a persisting mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Our office is based in Dusseldorf so close presence to our offices is considered is a big plus.
  • You are fluent in English and German.
  • Open for travel (25%)
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
