You will lead a team of shift leaders and operators, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency are always top priorities. This role combines hands-on problem-solving with leadership and resource planning.
- Leading and motivating your team by giving clear direction, coaching shift leaders and operators, and creating a positive and productive work atmosphere.
- Solving operational issues as first-line support for technical or organizational problems such as machine breakdowns, manpower shortages, or delays, and escalating when necessary.
- Driving continuous improvement by implementing initiatives to achieve KPIs in safety, output, quality, and efficiency, and contributing to long-term process optimization.
- Monitoring and planning production by following up on daily production orders, scheduling activities efficiently, and ensuring smooth shift transitions.
- Ensuring workplace safety by promoting and enforcing all safety procedures so employees and stakeholders work in a risk-free environment.
- Collaborating across departments by working closely with HR on recruitment, training, and employee development, and aligning with the Production Manager on departmental goals.
WHO ARE YOU?
- You have a Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Automation, Chemical, …).
- You are a strong people manager who enjoys motivating and guiding teams.
- You are passionate about technology, machines, and production processes
- You have an analytical and solution-oriented mindset, combined with a strong sense of responsibility
- You are hands-on and thrive in a dynamic production environment.
- You’re fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English
