Infrastructure System Engineer

As Infrastructure systems engineer you will be responsible for the management and support of core infrastructure services within the Mohawk organization.

This role is a high-performing technical contributor responsible for ensuring stability, security and scalability of backed systems that are critical to global infrastructure and business operations.

The position combines advanced operational support, system optimization and project delivery, with a strong focus on Windows-based infrastructure, virtualization and enterprise platforms.

Your main activities will be:

• Provide 3rd line support for backend infrastructure services, including advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability across distributed environments 
• Design, implement and improve infrastructure services 
• Build and maintain automation scripts and deployment processes
• Design, maintain and execute standardized patch baselines
• Maintain and enhance FTP environments
• Collaborate with internal & cross-functional IT teams
• Act as a technical escalation point
• Support cross-regional initiatives
• Contribute to SOX-compliant processes through proper administration and documentation 
• Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation and standards 
• Propose and implement operational, performance, and security improvements 
• Ensure adherence to enterprise policies, standards, and best practices

Who are you?

• Minimum bachelors degree or equivalent through experience.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in managing enterprise environments.
• Experience working in multi-site, international environments
• Strong experience with Windows Server platforms, Virtualization (VMware) & DDI Services (Infoblox)
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Solarwinds) & automation/scripting
• Experience supporting Directory, PKI & Certificate Services
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills 
• Proactive mindset with focus on continuous improvement and optimization
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
• High level of ownership and accountability
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Effective in dealing with individuals at differing levels, internal and external to the organization.
